Thumbs down Windows Vista - sleeping sickness

I have a new PC ( 3 weeks old ) with Windows Vista Premium.

When I put my system to sleep, if it's left for any lengh of time, it won't resume again afterwards. The HD sounds like it's powering back up but the display remains off and the only solution is to hold the power-button in for 10 seconds and re-boot.

I can't seem to find any help on this matter, anyone have any ideas?

Try this perhaps?

Vista really does seem to be having more than its fair share of grief. What a dog!

I found this on my laptop in extreme cases.

All i found i had to do was push the pin down that gets pushed down by the laptop screen when you shut it, or shut the screen and open it again.

I had to change "close lid" to just turn screen off.

I put it down to the monitor not "wakeing up"

But this happens to it under XP too..
