Inserting an audio cd-automatic open with windows media

When I put a music cd in me laptop, it automatically plays with the program which came with the computer. (Power cinema)

I'd like it not to open with this (!) but windows media player instead- any suggestions?

ta, in advance

Might depend on WMP version but look in win med player tools/options and the file types tab - i think you need the audio files (au) type checked.

Start>set program access & defaults (or default programs in Vista) and set it from there.

Open WMP and right click the title bar and go to tool/options and File types and select the files you want to be opened with WMP.

Or go into windows explorer and open the CD select a track and "Open with" and "Choose player" and then choose Windows media player. From then on it should open with WMP.
