Saving Word into PDF

Can someone please enlighten me on how to save a word document into PDF format? Would it require the full version of Adobe Acrobat? Its for a application which requires an upload of a CV however the only supported format is PDF!

Thanks

PrimoPDF purports to do it for free. I can't vouch for it, as I have the full Adobe Acrobat product. Also, some printers are packaged these days with PDF converter software -- my Canon MP830 came with one.

Cute PDF is also a free pdf file creator, it works ok, but if you want good graphics in your pdf file, then you will need to look elsewhere.

I use Primo myself and recommend it at work.
Occaionally there may be the odd formatting problems but most of the time (for fairly standard documents) it works well

Open your document in Open Office (Free). Or write it in Open Office.

Then convert it to a pdf file from the toolbar (6 in from left)

Pdf995 and PdfEdit995 are excellent.

Pdf995 just installs as a printer driver - simple and easy.

PDF995 is excellent, used it for a while now and never found any formating problems. It converts anything. It even managed to convert a newsletter I'd written which had photos in and everything. It didn't have any problems and the result looked very smart.

I use a plug-in from adobe that came with incopy i think, or in design, seems to be a little time consuming though.

But i am sure MS have just released a componant for Word 2003 so you can save to PDF and ??? some other ms format like you can in Word 2007

We use PDFcreator. Google it for free download from a number of sources.

The big advantage is that, once it is installed, it appears as a "printer" in almost any Micro$oft product. Want a PDF of a Word document or Excel spreadsheet or Powerpoint presentation ....... just open the document, select file, print and then select PDFcreator as the output printer. Does it in seconds.
