sternone, I've completely failed to gain any semblance of control over Flight Sim 2004 with the CH yoke. Even flying straight and level is impossible, so please will you explain how to configure it so I might also learn to love it!

Once you get your yoke and pedals sorted strongly recommend buying the Just Flight "Flying Club" for more realistic light aircraft. (PA 28,38,C152 and Seneca) The warrior I am training on is almost identically equipped to the sim one and handles very realistically Except for flap deployment which is instant and causes huge pitch up for a moment. The Microsoft supplied aircraft in Flight Sim are awful, especially in pitch where they can be impossibly unstable

I had the CH Yoke and Pro Pedals, and I ended up getting rid of them as I found them to be all but useless. The Yoke wasn't so bad, but there was very little resistance, and the mounting clamps kept coming undone no matter what I did to tighten them up. The pedals were appauling, the resistance was so light that I found I was applying considerable amounts of rudder without even realising, and (to my knowledge) there is no way of adjusting it without a DIY bodge. Waste of £200

(Didn't help either that shortly after purchasing the CH Yoke and Pedals I switched to an aircraft that has a stick! )

Totally agree regarding the rubbish mounting clamps although when they DO stick I have found the yoke ok. The rudder pedals are rather over-sensitive (an FS2004 problem rather than the pedals I think) but you can download a program from CH Products (CH Manager) which allows you to calibrate both the yoke and pedals.
I also use FSUIPC in FS2004 to calibrate both of them further for added realism and control.

Hi there, thanks for un-hijacking the thread.

I agree with the FS remark, please use it on X-plane (http://www.x-plane.org) you will feel the difference !!! (dont forget after install the demo to calibrate it all correctly in the menu Settings->Joystick & Equipment)

Sadly demo is only 6 minutes, but it should give you a feel how great this game is ! You even have a FAA Aproved X-plane version, and the best of all, it runs amazinly on my intel mac!!! (v8.5)

I wish somebody would model the DA40. The G1000 PFD is too small to read on the only one I know about: (http://www.microsoft.com/austria/edu.../projekte.mspx).

Then I could get a decent joystick and toss my CH yoke!
