Pprune tech gripes

1. Seem to get a lot of "server is busy" screens at the moment.

2. "This forum (JB) requires 120 seconds between posts. Why? It's a pain.

Well my guess

1) The server users keep going above the user limit set by the admins.

2) To prevent spam from posters posting loads of junk all over the place, and advertising, etc. There are auto post scripts too that can flood a forum with loads and loads of automatic posts, setting the limit prevents this happening, and it does the same in PM's so you cant PM loads and loads of people.

Why can't those of us who have subscribed use a different "door" onto Pprune? I see that about 75% of those viewing most of the time are guests. I know it's not much, but I have paid, so why should I be bounced out?

See my answer above - not too difficult to remove the time limit for subscribers, surely?
