Mac Problem - Importing Address Book?

Having just graduated to the brave new world of MacBooks, I'm still gradually going through the setup and re-education process.

Amongst my early problems is an inability to import my address book from MS Outlook to Entourage.

Any advice gratefully accepted.

Thanks for the guidance, I'm sure I'll need a fair bit more in coming weeks!

I have successfully imported my contacts, but not exactly as described on the Apple link. The "vcf" files were combined into a "winmail.dat" file, which I didn't appear to be able to open on the Mac - with Stuffit or any other application.

In the end I just created an address book folder from the "vcf's" and transfered it via USB drive.

Buzz, you will find the help here valuable and cheerfully forthcoming as I have since I converted. I have been to the well repeatedly and rarely failed to get a satisfactory answer, so a lot of questions you may come up with have been dealt with before as you can well imagine.

I would recommend you have a read through the following two threads at your leisure and you will get an idea of the breadth of problems covered. They were a great help to me. Welcome to the world of Mac!

Thanks Binos, I had already visited both links as part of my pre-purchase education.

It's gradually starting to make a bit more sense!
