Since installing IE7 Beta on Mrs A's computer whenever she clicks on a link in an e-mail a My Documents folder window opens capitioned "Select search Browser".
This does not happen when she cliks on a link in a normal web page.
IE7 is the default browser as it is the only one one that computer.
Since IE7 is supposed to be released this week and it will be forced upon us with any MS update, I am loathe to follow updates for our desktops. I use Mozilla on my laptop.
Any others with the problem or a suggested settings change.

I am pretty sure this will be of no help to you, but:
I downloaded IE7 as IE6 had a problem, i must have done some thing to it. The second i opened it up i didnt like it, used it for a few days and for some reason hated it.
So i am now using firefox and not looking back to IE7 at all...
I think you have to select a default seach engine on the new IE7, from what i can remember Google wasn't there, but if it was i would have selected it just to p M$ Off...

Firefox has a "look like IE" (or is it a "use IE"? I forget) option.
I've been trying IE lately, to see if I can persuade myself I like it. I'm achieving the opposite.
