MS Word - Text Box

I am trying to make a digram in MS Word and want to know if I can make the text in a text box go from bottom to top rather than left to right, eg. like a the text on the axis of a graph.

Hope that makes sense.

All help gratefully appreciated.

MF

Go to 'Insert' pull down menu at top of page, pull down and select 'text box' and you should see an option for either 'horizontal' or 'vertical'.

I'm on Windows XP professional and MS Word 2003

Hope this helps.

Tried that and just got a text box, no options!

It may be because I am using MS Word 2000?

Thanks anyway - back to the drawing board!

Works for me in Word 97, so can't imagine it's been disabled for 2000. I get a little formattting box open up, floating free, not on the menu bar.

Once you have your text box and the cursor in it - select Format from the tool bar then text direction.
