help my wireless connection is faulty.
I just moved into a new house in June and we all use wireless internet connection with a router. I could connect to the internet fine until quite recently, I realised I can connect to other wireless networks in the area but not to the one in my house, even though my other housemates can connect fine and there is excellent service on the connection. Pls i need help cant place my finger on the exact fault. and my laptop is only7 months old.

try uninstalling all network connections and rebooting. let xp find any new connections. this usually works when summat gets corrupt. which seems like your problem.
are you sure no one has changed the router settings?
try rebooting the router, sometimes works?

well i have tried that it still doesnt work. now it connects fine but i still cant acess the internet and its weird cos all my other housemates connect to the internet fine. pls help if u can/ anybody.

well its still doesnt work. it connects now buti cant acess the internet still. today is a bank holiday so i cant take it to a specialist till tomorrow.

Network connection probs...
Still havin probs eh?
I'd check to make sure that the network is giving you an ip address first...
goto start menu...run...type "cmd"...hit enter..
that should open up a black cmd prompt..
type in ipconfig -a <hit enter>..
and post the results on here...
from that we can start to troubleshoot...
