Ewido Anti-spyware
Just downloaded a trial from AVG's Grisoft and my god, the difference, leaves Adaware (never my favourite) and Hijack This in the shade. I've no financial interest in the company - wish I did though
Nearly kacked myself at the amount of stuff it threw up - can't believe it all laid low for so long.
Anyway, make of it what you will!
Best thing is that it has an adwatcher on the trial - makes life easier.

Con,
Thanks for the link.
I tried ewido after running both Adaware and Spybot. It found 1 "High" risk item and several "mediums" - the latter were all tracking cookies.
My next test will be to do it in reverse - run ewido then Adaware & Spybot.
Certainly looks impressive! My only criticism is that there seems to be a definite overhead in running the resident adware cookie blocker.
BTW, it looks to me as if one could save about 25% of the cost of a licence by buying it in USD from a US address - as long as one doesn't need the CD. Not that I am advocating that one should circumvent HMRC in this way. Of course not. Persish the thought.
