I've been 'n' gone 'n' bought myself a wireless optical mouse, which recharges from the mains. It were on 'alf price, so around £20. Fingers crossed!

It's the surface the mouse is on!

I asked our IT depertment what the problem was with optical mice........and it is the surface you are using it on (9.999999/10 times)

You can buy a slightly different mouse mat that has a surface especially designed for an optical mouse.

You're lucky, ask our IT Department anything and all they tell us is to phone the Help Desk. Guess where the Help Desk is?
