DVD to SD card?

Came across a colleague who had a dvd converted/downloaded onto an an SD card so she could watch it on a PSP type device. The boyfriend did it so was clueless to how he did it. I fancy having a go. Downloaded DVD shrink but not sure if its the right one.

Any ideas?

Lots of PDA software to do just this and not expensive either. Haven't done it myself, as not a big film fan - unless you mention the Holy Grail...
