Unusual page

Hi all
I'm using xp sp1. After clicking the 'back' arrow (top left of msn explorer) from other web pages to get 'home' this dam microsoft page appears.....
http://http://login.live-ppe.com/log...f2abbdab33d1eb

It takes multiple clicks on the home icon (butterfly) to get back to my home page. My messenger works fine so does my msn IE it's this page that puzzles me. This has only started about 8days ago.

Any ideas
Rick

That's a bit ironic!

Does it happen with other browsers?

Did you notice this in the link you posted ?

Don't think somehow that Mr. Gates would be using an address with that in it.

Update with the latest virus definitions and run a full scan, plus update to latest versions of Adware checking programs / definitions such as Spybot Search & Destroy / Adaware / Spywareblaster etc.

I'll bet you have picked up something nasty

Hey no probs my pal...sorted. But I don't know how. Norton scan..no virus probs. But when I ran microsoft 'Antispyware scan' Norton picked up a trojan, and I deleted it. Thanks for response.

That's a misquote ... it's actually

Where %3a is the hex code for ":" and %2f is the hex code for "/"

Which therefore resolves to the less suspicious

Conceeded

Rotorcraig,

You are of course technically correct.

I don't proclaim to be a computer guru and bow to your superior knowledge sir - My answer was much more entertaining though

Good news is that he had indeed picked up something nasty and has sorted it
