WinXp Programme i/d?
During a recent programme halt I saw a reference to a 'programme id' 256-1. Despite extensive Googling I canot find how to identify the culprit. Can anyone tell me where these are stored on the machine please?

Could that have been "process ID"?
Every running process (and there are lots of 'em, even if you are doing nothing) has a PID. If you run Task Manager and look at the Processes you can see 'em. To get the PID chose View/Select Columns and check PID (process identifier).

Done a bit of Googling and discovered that the stop message involves "Product : 256_1".
While I beaver away at trying to sort this out, is there a site anywhere which will identify this number?
