Slow Laptop Boot-up
My laptop [Win XP Home P4 2.2Ghz 516 mem] has taken to sluggish boot-up. A programme called 'ccApp.exe' seems to be taking a large chunk of resources. Anyone enlighten me as to what this prog does and what I can do about the boot problem.

The winner in the category for 'What's Fouling My Computer Up?' is, for the umpteenth time, Norton Antivirus.
The solution; get rid of it.
Actually, on further investigation, it may also be a part of an adware infection. Assuming you have Norton and don't have a problem with popups, it'll be the former. If you don't and do, run Adaware.
