MS Word 2003 probs

Greetings

Every time I try to save a document in to any file on MS Word 2003 the app goes into terminal stupor and freezes.

This has only started happening today and is a total pain.

ANY (SERIOUS) SUGGESTIONS??

I have run a virus scan and all is clear. HD is 72% clear and have defragged and disk cleaned.
