Hi,
I'm thinking of trying out podcasting but the BBC website gives a baffling list of suitable free software - does anyone have any recommendations or indeed any tips?
Thanks
alf
btw I plan to play back using my pda which runs windows.

Thanks Jinkster.
Can't put my finger on why but wanted to be more "independant". My only desire so far is for some stuff off the BBC who suggest many different software solutions, including itunes. I've opted for one of their other 3 most popular suggestions called "Juice". Maybe I will report how I get on in due course. Ominously at installation it places a lemon in the system tray!

Weren't pushed to this by the podcast of the "Now show" were you? Same thoughts crossed my own head and I simply went to the appropriate page and downloaded it. Now, I decide what happens to it, without BS, DRM and other worries. Only 11MB for half a hour too...

In the days before Podcasts, the amount of hassle and aggro, that I went to, to get the many, varied, but always entertaining, Jeremy Hardy rants, were ultimately worthwhile. It is worth the efffort Grasshopper. 10 out of 10 for the Beeb simply waking up.

http://www.podcast.net has a couple of recommendations (on the bottom right) as well as a one or two links to available sources to try out
