convert speech to text package(s)
Anyone have any thoughts re something that will convert a droning voice to text?
I'm sure that there is something somewhere that is available, preferably freeware or similar .. but I can't find it. I've had a look at Tucows and it seems have (as do most of the others) text to speech .. but that isn't what I need.

No freeware, as far as I know but Dragon 'Naturally Speaking' works very well. It doesn't REQUIRE a droning voice as it works best with natural speech rhythms. Don't expect miracles and a compatible headset is necessary.
