Lexmark printer blues
I recently got a cheap lexmark Z735 printer which works well. Problem is it insists on printing in a nice shade of grey which is clearly using up colour ink in order to make me buy an expensive refill...In the Print menu the first page is the usual familiar microsoft screen, however in Properties - different story! lexmark have hi-jacked this screen for one of their own and there is no facility to turn the colour off. I can get black printing in some applications - MS Word for instance, but the thing always reverts to the grey.
Any tips? - apart from "buy a proper printer next time".

I thought that model only had one composite CMY (cyan, yellow, magenta) tank? If so, then you're stuck with it the way it is, I'm afraid
Personally, for what you're probably going to end up spending on its upkeep, I'd invest in a new printer (and consider a Japanese one - HP's and Lexmarks cost a fortune to refill, luring you with a lower ticket price).
