Any VCRs have a S-Video out socket??
Hi guys,
Im trying to record all my old VHS tapes and put them onto DVD. Do you know whether there are any video players that have a S-Video out socket. I believe this can increase the quality of the pictures and is much better than the standard 3 cable av out. Ive had a look but cant find any.
BTW I have tried a scart socket with a S-Video out, plugged in into my video and the other end into the DVD recorder, but it didnt seem to work.

Don't know whether it's still available, but I have a JVC editing VCR with jog shuttle etc. and that has S-video as well as Scart and the others. Was rather pricy when I bought it, 10 years or so ago - approx £650. Suspect it's long since out of production but no doubt there will be replacements.
I recently bought a JVC DVD recorder/player (£350) with a 160 G HD which has the (touted) ability to improve the quality of input from various sources - seems unlikely but digital is 'magic'!!
