XP resource conflicts

Hi chaps, have a PC on me bench which became unstable running 98. Replaced the memory and nothing improved so I installed XP as the saviour of all known stability issues and it's no better. So I guess I'm either looking at a hardware issue as there's very little in the way of software loaded on it now OR resource conflicts. Now, the video card and sound card are sharing IRQ's and memory as are some other components. My problem is that despite being logged is a administrator the resource change options are ALL greyed out.......

Any thoughts at all?

Can you not change some DIP switch settings (preferably on the sound card) so that the IRQs don't conflict?
