Sony DVD Dilemma
Sorry it's not a computer query, but I wonder if someone can help?
We've just purchased a Sony Re-writable DVD player and want to hook it up to the Sony Digital box so that we can record digital programmes. We have 2 SCART leads but although the digital box and DVD player work independently, they don't seem to be "communicating" with each other (through Smartlink)!
Any ideas?

Not sure if you are referring to a 'Freeview' digital box, but if so, try this combination:
TV aerial into Freeview, with Freeview TV scart to TV (AV2), and Freeview DVD/Video scart to DVDR AV2 with the RF out going to ANT IN on DVDR. The DVDR then has ANT OUT to TV ANT IN, and AV 1 Scart to TV AV1.
You will then need to manually select an AV input on your DVD recorder when you want to record from your digibox.
