Auto Boot pdf files

A little help please,
If I click on something like this :-
http://www.aaib.dft.gov.uk/cms_reso...05%20G-EUOB.pdf

I get a blank browser page with Done in the bottom left hand corner.
To view the page I have to go
File-Save Page As-Save- click on saved file and bingo.
My computor used to do this automatically,
click on the link and up comes the file.
I am running Adobe Reader 7.0.5

Regards

Ditto.... My PC used to do this automatically, but will now only open PDF files after I save them, find them in some arcane location, then open them.

I assume that some "upgrade" from either Microsoft or Adobe has stopped this functionality for some reason, but I can't see why or how.

PDFS were fine on my PC until a few months ago, when they just stopped opening.

If anyone knows the fix for this, I'd be grateful as well.

Steamhead - I'm afraid the Pprune BB software has truncated your URL (painful ) so I cannot check on my machine, but 7.05 seems to show 'done' when it is still downloading. Given patience, the pdf eventually opens - when it is ready

How long have you waited? If it is a big file it may take a while.

I had this problem and found the solution here:

Freeze when you start Adobe Reader or Acrobat (6.0-7.x on Windows)

Worked for me.

Thanks ExGrunt

I did as you suggested and then used the Detect & Repair in Help of Acrobat and it started working as before.

Well Done
