Problems sending SMTP mail
Just connected via a modem to a cable system in an apartment. No problems with the Internet or POP mail but cannot send SMTP mail (message about server failure).
I use Mozilla but have no problems with my usual broadband connection at home.
Any ideas?

Most likely to be a relaying problem - if the ISP in the apartment is different than the one you normally use then they would prevent email directed towards a different smtp server.
You should be able to send email if you switch the smtp details in your mail client to that of the apartment's ISP.
Cheers.
