This is pretty similar to the system I would put together, albeit using somewhat lower end components.
Its a bit more than you were looking to pay though it is customisable to your specs. Basically its the price of the components mail order plus £150 to build it for you.... I havn't found anything along the same lines but lower spec, you could get something 70-80% as fast for a few hundred less.
