Visual memory

Hi guys, can anyone assist please. My computer is showing low visual memory, is there any free programme I can download to help clean the memory and increase the viual memory. It is very sluggish when trying to open any programmes as well.

Probably lots of rubbish running in the background. If you close down everything other than task manager and explorer.exe (Standalone PC only - do not try this otherwise :-) ) then all of these little proggies will stop bluting up the memory.

The Microsoft Spyware program gives much insight into the clutter that runs silently in the background. I quite like it actually.
