Mozilla Thunderbird.

Does anyone know where Win XP keeps its emails and addresses in Thunderbird.
Have put bigger drive in wife's toy, now need to find all her old email addresses.

It was easy in the earlier Netscapes, it was in a file called Profile. cannot see anything like this here

It's also very easy to keep the mail and settings in a location you prefer. Just go to the 'Thunderbird' folder as specified in the page linked above, find the 'Profiles.ini' file and edit two lines:

Change the 'IsRelative' parameter from 1 to 0
In the 'Path' line below this put the full path to the folder of your choice behind the equal sign.

If you move the contents of your profile folder (which is the one with a name like 'afjklhaslkfj.default' below the 'Profiles' folder) to this new location first, after startup Thunderbird will be just as you left it. If you keep it empty, it will ask you to import settings, and allow you to set up your email accounts just as after initial setup.
