Norton Internet Security - Editing Access Rules

Does anybody know how to edit the rules that Norton Internet Security uses to allow access to the internet?

I upgraded a version of Firefox - and when I first used it - Norton suggested blocking all access to the internt by the main program - firefox.exe.

Being tired (my excuse) I accepted this suggestion - and of course now Firefox cannot access the internet.

Where in NIS can I amend this rule?

I have tried the NIS kowledge base and sent them a technical query - but no joy as yet.

Thanks for any advice that anyone can offer.

BSU,
open NIS, the go to "personal firewall". You will see 2 boxes "turn off" and "configure". Click on "configure".

You will the get a choice of 5 pages. Open the one marked "programs"
You will then get a list of all the programs that NIS recognises.
Scroll down until you find firefox. Use your mouse, and left click on it. then move the cursor to the "internet access" column, and click again.
You can then change it to allow internet access.

Hope this works.
