spooler.exe

Totally confused by this file which appears in the XP system32 files. Trend Micro 'House call' identifies this as worm_rbot_bdo or similar but my 'resident' antivirus 'eztrust' ignores it. I have asked them whether 'Trend' is right and why they do not 'detect' it, and all I get is gibberish back.

Is this a Windows 'necessary' or is it a trojan?

BOAC.....

Well it's not in my System32.

Put 'spooler.exe' into Google and there seems enough evidence there to suggest that you could probably do without it.
