Two questions, if anyone can help, please:
1. Excel spreadsheet - cells custom formatted mm:ss. Typed direct into the cell the display mm:ss comes out as hh:mm, e.g. 34:17 as 17:00. A formulated result (e.g. =(h5/g5)/24) displays as expected - mm:ss;
2. How do I ROUND a time? E.g. (mm:ss) 21:49 to 22.00 or 12:15 to 12.00? I've tried (functions) time, hour, minute etc., round, roundup, rounddown, decimal, and anything else I could find, but to no avail. Whilst the seconds are not usually crucial, it seems odd that in Excel I can round almost anything, but not TIME.
Cheers

There is a web site www.mrexcel.com bit like pprune for excel buffs. All you have to do is join (free) post your problem on the forum and within an hour somebody has solved your problem. I wouldn't be without it, even the most complicated formulae. Best of luck.
