Outlook Express pop server
When I started up today I noticed that one account in OE was asking for a password. Checked and found that in the pop box had digits in place of letters and it kicked out.
I altered it back to pop.dsl. etc and it was fine.
Happened again after shutdown and start-up.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Pop,
Is the number 127.0.0.1 ? If yes, it would be due to a virus checker like Norton. OE sends email to your own machine (127.0.0.1) which Norton scans, and then sends it out to your correct mail server.
Let us know if this is not the case, and IP address/number that appears.

Pop,
Its been a while since I have looked at the McAfee suite, I think you may have installed the email scanner and spam filter.
127.0.0.1 is okay for OE, if you set up the correct pop address in McAfee.
If I recall correctly the automatic conversion that McAfee did seemed to work for me when I did it last.
ZA has nothing to do with it.
