Options are:
Wi-fi card if there is a network in range
If you have either Bluetooth on your IPAQ and phone OR a cable connection between the two OR a reliable IR link between IPAQ and phone - GPRS
You can also connect with a card modem if you are near a telephone socket and have a dial-up provider

Its the 1710. I think by the sound of things I would be best to connect through my mobile with a cable which I guess I will get a pc world etc?
Anyone know how much it is per minute using these pda's?
Thanks

If you are looking at GPRS, it depends on your mobile provider and where you are. A quick ´Google´ will also help regarding cables /how to connect.
Loads of info on the web sites for major uk providers, you stay connected free and pay only for bytes up/down. It is NOT particularly cheap but it works in most places!
If you are looking at ordinary ISP access via the mobile, you need one of the services in the link from Mike Jenvey a bit higher here.
