Problems starting PC with windows ME
Good evening all,
I am having problems starting my computer with windows ME.
When it starts up, it says improper shutdown and it is scanning disk for errors, however it takes forever to do this, therefore I just click cancel and then starts up normally with my desktop.
Any advice for me?
Should I just leave it to scan the disk even although it could take a few hours or should it do no harm just clicking cancel each time I start up.
Thanks for your time guys!!!

fastest way to scan disc in windows "ME" is to start it in safe mode then scan disc.
If its coming up with scan disc on every startup eventualy it will not let you cancel the scan
think windows "ME" safe mode start is to hold Ctrl on start up then open my computer right click on C drive or whatever is your main drive look for tools tab and run the scan disc
Max
