Whats under the bonnet?
(Evo - feel free to merge this if you see fit)
I've used SiSoft Sandra and Belarc Advisor before to analyse systems I have been working with, but came across PC Wizard this week which blows the others away IMHO.
Freeware, it tells you absolutly everything you could possibly want to know about what is inside (and running) on your PC.
The homepage has some other programs you could try (CPUID is well respected). Find it here.

Trojan Alarm??????
When installing PC Wizard, my AV program triggered with
S-F8OB4.TMP
[DETECTION] This file contains suspicious code Heuristic/Trojan.Downloader
The file actually unpacks into webupdt or something similar.
Anyone comment? Have I got the heuristic level set too high?

stickyb , I have installed it on two machines, my main PC with NAV2003 fully up to date, and PC2 with 'Antivir'. No probs whatsoever.
I think the CPUID guys have been around for quite a while - I've no reason to suspect anything is awry.
