Online Casino Access

Prior to installing Zone Alarm Pro 5.1 I had no problem accessing Intercasino for a wee dabble. In my setup, the XP firewall is set off and the Security Centre is monitoring the ZA firewall status and the Panda AV update status.

Since the installation, even with ZA shut down (fraught, I know) I can't get any further than a successful log on. My Netgear MR 314 router feeds me broadband from my ADSL modem.

Expanding on the problem: I can't access the Play For Real server any more, after logging on - I can get to the cashier, and the casino is happy enough that I have done a proper log-on, but one of the sub-windows that is supposed to indicate the play-by-play state of my account always comes up "page not available...'. I can "see" other people playing but can't play for myself.

I run XP Home Ed ( SP2), IE 6, SP 2, behind ZA Pro 5.1, (and using Panda Titanium Antivirus, if this is relevent).

I can play other casinos, but this one is my favourite and I don't want to lose it. The help people are not all that, so if anyone has the time to consider my prob, I would be eternally gratefull.

Hi Cribble,

I wouldn't normally recommend using the "Trusted Sites" option in IE (I assume that's your browser) but try putting the site in there and see if that works. That way you can use just that site without needing to lower the security level for all sites.

See how you go with that.

Cheers

Liam

Thanks for the suggestion. Yeh, I've already tried that, plus a combination of hand-tweaked options in how IE is set up. No joy. At least I won't lose any money!

Some people have trouble accessing one of my sites if they're running ZoneAlarm.

The problem appears to be that ZoneAlarm mangles web pages, so that what you see in your browser is not what the web server transmitted, but the bits of the page that ZoneAlarm thinks you ought to be allowed to see.

When my site's users complain to me about this I suggest they regard ZoneAlarm as malware and uninstall it.

Emails to ZoneAlarm suggesting that they might like to consider fixing this sort of bug elicit no response.
