Have any of you out there in cyberspace had any dealing with LitePC products.
I believe the concept is that one can remove a large % of the OS, leaving less to go wrong, and opening more drive space. I for one NEVER use Internet explorer or Outlook Express, so what I don't use I won't miss.
Just wondered if anyone had 'Hands On' Experience of this program.

Hiya

A lot of the time the “lite” versions are manufacturer specific. Mostly the only reason for them being “lite” is that they only have the driver database for the specific manufacturer, eg DELL

I would NOT recommend anything but the FULL versions.

Have a look at Bart's Preinstalled Environment (BartPE) bootable live windows CD/DVD at http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/

Warning: Some assembly required, batteries not included.

Actually works pretty well.
