DVD Burners
Hello all..
I am heading to the USA in a couple of weeks and I'm interested in getting an external DVD burner for the laptop (with exchange rates and the like).. What with all the region limitations on these things I'm a bit confused as to whether the one i buy in the us will work in the Uk..
As i work for a photographer my main usage would be to copy wedding videos to DVD then duplicate the DVD.
Has anybody gone through this type of thing before or know a bit more than me about it???
Thanks

All the computer DVD drives I've seen always ask you to set a region on first use, and then allow you up to 5 further changes before disintegrating in a puff of smoke (actually I guess they lock up after 5 changes!).
My DVD burner is from LG and I must say I am very impressed by its performance (touch wood).

There are plenty of Region Free Firmare Updates for most DVD Hardware.
One site was recently linked in this forum thanx to Tinstaafl:
Unlocking computer DVD region - not trying to be dodgy!
