Lost accents

I have always used the keystrokes from Character Map to insert accents but since installing SP2 nothing happens with the keystrokes in Office 2003 although they are still shown in Character Map. In Eudora various strange things occur like a close down window appearing but in Notepad the accents appear correctly.

Any ideas please.

I don't know what word processor you are using, but I've just checked my Word 2002 since installing SP2. if you go to "Insert" then "symbols" you should get a selection of the characters you require. It works for me and I think is the replacement for the "character map" programme in Word.
I should also add that when I first got it, this facility would not work and caused some form of crash when I tried it. I went to the Microsoft update site for office updates, updated the software and this facility started working correctly.

Thanks PP but I am using Word from Office 2003 and it does not want to know.
