Well I''ve had a Treo 600 for a few weeks now - and I learned one thing:
It doesn't like water!
I managed to drown mine as it sat at the bottom of my motorcycle jacket in a downpour - it was completely and utterly watter-logged and is still drying out two weeks later.
Fortunately I was able to claim a new one on my my household insurance so, as of today, I have a new one.
But I must say it's a brilliant piece of kit - -well designed and with loads of features. Not sure where it fits in the aviation world but it works very well in the IT consultant world!
Let me know if you need more info, or if you have gone for one option or the other by now?
Cheers
Charles
