My computor has been running perfectly for 18 months with no changes, and suddenly every time I log on I have to enter my user name and password, any suggestions anybody.

Steamhead,
If you have to log in to PPRuNe once a day, then PPRuNe is working as intended. They have the Cookie expire after 24 hours.
If you log into PPRuNe and then close the Window, open another and have to log back in, then you need to set in IE PPRuNe as a Trusted Site for Cookies under the Privacy Tab.
Take Care,
Richard

where's the privacy tab? i haven't selected this as a trusted site but i come and go multiple times/day to this site after closing the window and never have to log in to reenter using 98se/2000pro/xppro.

bearone2,
It has to do with what level of Security you have set. If you have Low Security then you will not need to enter them as a trusted site. If you have your Security Level high enough that IE will not accept Cookies, then you need to enter the Trusted Sites.

Richard
