MSN Messenger troubles
When using MSN Messenger 6.1, I can send files just fine, but if someone sends me a file, as soon as I click on "Accept" MSN Messenger and IE both lock up and I have to reboot. 
Using an old laptop, OS is XP Pro, 56k dial-up internet
All suggestions appreciated.

Could posisbly be a problem with your firewall if you have one (if not WHY not ! !)
When you accept the file, it opens up a new connection - however, this connection is still governed by messenger. It may be worthwhile disabling the firewall and see what happens then.
