XP reinstalls printer drivers every reboot?

G'day,

I am having a problem with some drivers- specifically my HP printer drivers.

The printer works fine, but whenever I restart, the found new hardware dialog appears and reinstalls the drivers.

This has happened for a few weeks, and I have no idea how to sort it out. I have virus scanned, adawared. Nothing untoward.

I had some problems with Winfast TV board drivers which seem to be a problem for everyone who uses this card. They stopped working around the same time but they won't reinstall.

Driving me nuts! Any help would be very much appreciated.

Regards

Well, that was simple! Thanks for your help BC. Funny thing was my machine had just downloaded the update, and that didn't fix it.

I downloaded the slim version (ONLY 50 megs!) and Bob's my aunty!

Cheers

Murray,

It is a good practice to routinely check for driver updates for your hardware. (Many fixes come out with the driver updates.)

Take care,

Richard
