Worldwide SMS sending via computer
Hi all,
I'd like to be able to send sms messages to friends worldwide from the comfort of my computer at home or down route. I don't mind paying for the service, as long as the quality is good. Could anyone recommend a provider that does this hassle free please?
Regards
Mo

well, Richard, in the US of A may be....but not in Europe and not in most places in Asia.
It did send for quiet a while but, as so many other services, it stopped and announces the "unable to send" after you have entered all vital details and it collected them....
Some countries are covered by MSN-messenger, but again....you only find out after all the details are made available first....
And of course, all the details provided will never be used to Spam you at all...

Nightrider,
Personally I have never used it myself. I was just expanding on what Biscuit Chucker mentioned.
Take Care,
Richard
P.S. My Brother-in-Law has used it to SMS is girlfriend in the Czech Republic, but that is the only time I have seen it used first hand.

I can use it to send SMS to friends in the USA, but trying to send to the UK (from within the UK) doesn't work. I've not gone further than that, but have heard from German friends that it doesn't work there.

If you have a mobile service provider then you may well be able to do it through their website. I know orange used to do it, (haven't checked for a while) as I used to use it to text the family back home from HKG.
