auto email address inserting for Outlook 2000

I'm running Outlook 2000 with Win XP and cannot get the feature that automatically inserts the address as you type the first characters to work. Anyone with any ideas?

I am also running Outlook Express 6.0 separately for my pvt email and the feature there is working OK.

Islander Jock,

In Internet options under content, you will find the Auto Complete Button.

Take Care,

Hit Tools / Options, then under preferences hit E-mail options, then advanced e-mail options, then make sure "suggest names while completing etc.." is checked, then ok.

Tried your suggestion, no go.

Tallbloke,
I follow your links all the way to advanced email options but there is no check box there for "suggest names ........"

Could the fact that I am working though a server have any bearing on the problem?

Might just get hold of the Office 2000 installation discs and reinstall Outlook.
