Unable to Post to PPRuNe From Win2k Machine
For a couple of years now, have been using PPRuNe without issue from my Home PC using Win2k. A couple of months ago, started getting problems with the wifes access to her Hotmail account, which would time out ('Cannot Find Server') when she tried to access her Hotmail. No significant things had been changed then (other than a Zone Alarm update, which was uninstalled with no effect).
The problem became more of an issue and I decided to re-install Win2k after reformatting the hard disc. Since then, she has still been unable to access Hotmail, also I am unable to post to PPRuNe ('Cannot Find Server'). Cookies are all enabled and most of the latest MS Updates have been installed.
Seems to be most evident when using Java powered sites - have downloaded the Java VM software from the Sun site, but this still hasn't had any effect.
Have adjusted security settings, added PPRuNe to Trusted Sites, etc, but still no luck. Anyone got any clues before I tear *all* my hair out?!

Thanks for that, TCS - since reformatting the hard drive, have not re-installed Zone Alarm, so have no ad blocker. Security settings have been tried at Low with no effect.

Circuit Basher,
When you setup the Dialup connection, did you put in the Primary and Secondary DNS Server information?
It could be you are not getting DNS Resolution. Try accessing the site via:
http://www.pprune.org
and

Take Care,
Richard
