PC slow after exiting games..

It's not a major problem, just an irritation. When TC junior has finished playing a couple of his games (we only have two or three loaded) the PC is really slow until rebooted. Its an otherwise very healthy uncluttered P4 512mb thing which I keep squeaky clean. Its as though the ram is keeping some of the game clutter and not cleansing itself on exit.

Software issue with the game? Incidentally I have no problem with the running of the machine after a heavy session with MSFS2004.

What OS are you using? Win98/ME work very differently than Win2000/XP do when it comes to memory.

timmcat,

The GeForce4 MX420 is holding your system back. You should look at upgrading that card to either a GeForceFX 5900XT w/128Mb or a Radeon 9800Pro w/128Mb.

Take Care,

Richard

P.S. While using the GeForce4 MX 420, make sure you install the latest nVidia ForceWare Drivers
