Quick Time deletes WMV?
And finally....
Since installing Quick Time, I can't fine WMP and I mean ANYWHERE. No WMP, no *.wmv files, no nothing! If I try navigate to "Open With", it's not on the list. Surely it isn't possible for QT to have uninstalled WMP? I'm sure this isn't even a option!
What the Biggles is this all about then?

Think of it as an upgrade..
Seriously though, PSP, try posting your problem here - you'll get a prompt, helpful reply, either from Apple staff or a knowledgeable user. Good luck!

PretoriaSillyperson,
Do a search of your computer for the file, wmplayer.exe and lets see if it is still in your computer.
Take Care,
Richard
P.S. I checked the MS Knowledge Base and the link from WeatherJinx, but I did not see any mention of your problem.

wmplayer.exe isn't on the HDD - and there's no hidden "Packard Bell type partition". The WMP Folder is there but no .exe at all. Not a major problem - just really odd.

PretoriaSillyperson,
It should be in the directory:
C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player
If you shoot me an email, I will email wmplayer.exe back to you. Lets see if putting the file back solves that problem or not.
Take Care,
Richard
