Runtime Error Messages
Compaq Presario 17XL262 Laptop, P3, 600 Mhz, 20 G HD, Win XP Home Edition, IE 6.
Whenever I go to various websites that use a lot of ads such as my Home page (Sky News) and various other news pages, and others, I get a succession of Runtime Error messages, usually 5 in succession, stating,
Ä Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to de-Bug?...Yes or No?"
Selecting "Yes"presents a page of hirogliphics I know not what to do with.
Selecting "No" about 5 times in succession allows the page to display noormally.
The pop-up error messages are very annoying. Any ideas about how to eliminate these messages permanently would be most appreciated.
BTW, all Windows + Windows Office 2003 updates are installed and up-to-date.
Thanks in advance.

LastCall,
The error is not with your computer. It is with the people that coded that website. In Internet Explorer go:
Tools >>Internet Options >> Advanced
And put a checkmark in Disable Script Debugging.
Take Care,
Richard

Richard - we have had this topic a few times now here. Be advised, LastCall, that did NOT sort out my problem with script. Downloading the Sun Java and enabling it (as advised) did. See the other threads below. It may or may not be a 'scripter's error'.
