My HP710C printer decided to forget about yellow the other day so I stuffed in a new colour cartridge. Surprise - still no yellow.
Reinstalled driver and few other fiddles but still no yellow...
Pity 'cos it had worked well until now.
Any last advice before I throw the darn thing in the bin & get another one? Can't be bothered to fiddle around too much.

Mac,
Did the "few other fiddles" include wiping the contacts that connect to the back of the ink cartridge (the ones in the tray)? Preferably with contact cleaner?
Tried a third cartridge? - Murphy's law may be applicable.
prolly won't help, but anyway....

SD, Guess where I got my 'advice' from?
(I was coincidentally browsing their site as a customer of mine has a 'squeaky' laser printer and their advice was more or less replace all the mechanical bits inside i.e. buy a new one....
