Outlook-Hyperlink help needed

Can somebody please point me in the right direction as I am not the sharpest one around when it comes to these things!
Whenever I get an e mail with a hyperlink in -I can not connect to the site by double clicking on it. The only way around it that I have found is to cut and then paste it in to my normal browser.
I am sure there must be a command somewhere that will activate the link on double clicking-but dont know where to find it.
Thanks in anticipation

Right mouse click on the link and select "open in new window".

Thanks for reply but only options I get on right clicking are
Copy shortcut/Save target as/Select all and Add to favourites?
None of which make the link-without having to Copy shortcut and then pasting in address bar of browser.
(I am using Outlook Express V.6)
